When Was The Last Time You Saw Your Smile?

When was the last time you saw your smile?

Do you get embarrassed whenever you’re asked to pose for a photograph? And is that because you don’t like your teeth? It’s difficult to smile sincerely when you’re always trying to hide them from the camera. This means you’re more likely to have an unnatural and awkward-looking pose which doesn’t do you any favours. So if your answer to the question ‘when was the last time you saw your smile?’ is ‘a very, very long time ago’, maybe it’s time to think about cosmetic dental treatments such as Invisalign or veneers. There couldn’t be a better way of giving you something worth smiling about!

Will I ever have a smile like my favourite celebrity?

We’ll let you into a secret – many famous people have been embarrassed by their smiles in the past too. You’ll rarely find someone with the ‘perfect smile’ who hasn’t made a few adjustments here and there. We see enough celebrities here in our clinic to know that! And all the treatments we offer to them are available to everyone, including you.

It doesn’t matter what you think of your teeth, there’ll always be ways to improve them, whether it’s using something as simple as teeth whitening or composite bonding, or more involved treatments such as teeth straightening, veneers, inlays, dental implants or dentures.

Our top two smile treatments

The most popular smile treatments our patients ask for are Invisalign’s invisible braces and porcelain veneers.

Invisible braces are an incredibly efficient way of straightening your teeth, and they truly are invisible. You’ve probably even talked to people who are wearing them without even noticing. That’s thanks to the technology – after we scan your teeth, the images are sent to the Invisalign laboratory so it can produce a series of individual invisible braces that fit snugly around your teeth and are designed to gradually realign each tooth. The braces don’t hurt, and because you remove them every time you eat, they won’t restrict your diet. Once you get used to them, you’ll forget they’re even there.

Porcelain veneers are a great way of covering chipped or stained teeth, or a tooth that’s slightly out of position, or filling in a small gap between teeth. They are custom-made to fit your teeth and are bonded to them. To create such a strong bond, the surface of your tooth or teeth will need to be reshaped and thinned, which means the treatment is permanent. If you treat them well, your veneers will last between 10 and 20 years before they need to be replaced.

Facial aesthetic treatments

Once your teeth are straight, even and white, you may want to think about other aspects of your smile. Non-surgical facial treatments are popular ways of giving the lips more volume, smoothing out fine lines, and helping to rejuvenate the appearance of your skin. Dr Michael Daroglou is an advanced facial aesthetics and rejuvenation practitioner, and he offers a range of treatments such as dermal fillers, chemical peels, skin boosters, anti-wrinkle therapy, and dermaroller.
