Invisalign

Invisalign offers a new and more discreet way to straighten your teeth. If you’ve previously considered teeth straightening but were put off by the thought of wearing unsightly metal braces, then this could be the treatment for you. Orthodontic technology has advanced significantly in the last decade. Now, with Invisalign, you can realign your teeth using transparent and barely noticeable aligners.

We are continuing to provide dental services as normal – including emergency appointments.

You can also take a look at the other forms of teeth straightening we offer, such as orthodontics.

Invisalign braces

Invisalign braces are innovative aligners that are custom-built to fit. They are clear, discreet and comfortable and will straighten your teeth more predictably than ‘traditional’ braces. Using advanced technology to scan your teeth and map how they can be straightened, Invisalign braces are moulded around your teeth to ensure they are aligned in a way that will realign each tooth in the right direction and with the right pressure.

Would Invisalign work for me?

Many people are self-conscious about their smiles because their teeth are not straight or are badly positioned. These are not just cosmetic issues; misaligned teeth can also cause decay, jaw pain, or problems eating and speaking.

Invisalign is a highly effective and quick way to resolve these issues, giving you the smile you have always wanted. It can be used to treat the following conditions:

  • Gapped teeth
  • Bite misalignment – over, under or cross bite conditions.
  • Crowded teeth

The advantages of Invisalign Aligners

Invisalign is becoming increasingly popular because, unlike traditional teeth straightening methods, it is almost invisible. We work with many celebrities, business leaders and people in the entertainment industry. They love the fact that they can continue TV and public appearances while undergoing treatment.

The Invisalign aligners are also comfortable and removeable. They can be removed to clean your teeth or eat, or in the case of performers, to get that winning close up.

What is the Invisalign treatment process?

During the initial consultation, the orthodontist will find out what you hope to achieve and tailor a treatment plan for you.

In order to straighten your teeth with Invisalign, you will need to wear a series of transparent aligners that are changed around every two weeks.

Treatment begins with the orthodontist taking an impression of your teeth. This is used to build a model of your mouth using 3D imaging technology. These images will be sent to the Invisalign laboratory so it can build a series of custom-made aligners. We can also use this imagery to show you a 3D model of what your teeth will look like after treatment.

It usually takes between 12 and 18 months to straighten your teeth using Invisalign, and you will need to visit the dentist every six weeks for check-ups.

Once you have achieved the desired results, you will need to wear a retainer overnight for around six months to ensure that your teeth stay in position.
